Are you taking the metro?

Itinerary of two young Moroccan students who arrive in Paris.

“We were 18-19 years old, we arrived in France and we tried to connect the France we imagined when we were in Morocco with the real France. Because, when we lived in Morocco we only knew France through movies and the few trips we had been able to make there. And that's exactly the time when you try to create your own references. With Mehdi, we had fun translating the metro stations into Arabic, into Darija. It was a way of making Paris our own, with our point of view back then.”

Kebch Akhdar Ennif. Métro Mouton-Duvernet.
